Description[]
Cloud Vine is a Plant Lifeform, extremely popular in the Original Universe, especially among powerful cultivators and their disciples[3]. It has many paths of evolution, which can be determined by the treasures it gets to absorb, and is known for it swallowing and cell activity[4]. Once a cultivator establishes their ownership through allowing the vine to ingest their blood, it recognizes its master for life, via a Spirit Imprint[5]. As a result, if its master dies, it will also die[6]. Cloud Vines only allow one stronger than it to tame it, so it is important to keep it weak before passing it to a weak cultivator[6].
Tamed Cloud Vines can transform into Armor that is superior to even Genetic Armor[7]; a vine weak enough to be tamed by a Planetary Level 1 cultivator could, after its first evolution, far exceed the Black God Suit in defensive ability[8]. The vine can also shrink and enter its user's skin, feeling like an additional layer of very comfortable, cool clothing. This made it easy to move around, unlike some other Plant Lifeforms[9]. As a lifeform that can evolve and get stronger, it is valuable even to Immortals; Cloud Vines are much larger and more durable than typical Humans, so they are invaluable as armor or even as a weapon. While its attack power is average, particularly in comparison to other assisting lifeforms, it has incredible vitality and strong defense.
Depending on the treasures and energy fed to a Cloud Vine, its size and number of vines can differ. At the World Master level, it can have between 36 and 360 vines, depending on how it was raised. With a stronger foundation, it can have more vines, but it will be correspondingly more difficult for it to break through to Immortal. As a result, raising a Cloud Vine can be quite costly. Hu Yan Bo's Cloud Vine (108 vines at World Master[10]), for example, required over 6 million Mixed Yuan Units in treasures (plus some luck) for it to break through[11]. Luo Feng's Cloud Vine, with 216 vines, required him spending 1.53 billion VUC Points for it to break through from World Master, and this only had a 50% chance of succeeding[12]! As a plant lifeform, it is fairly unintelligent, but gets more intelligent as it evolves.
While Cloud Vine seeds aren't too expensive, after they are nurtured into buds, they are worth billions of Black Dragon Coins[13]. Despite their popularity, they are rare within the 1,008 Universe Countries controlled by the Human Race[14].
Hong's Cloud Vine[]
Hong's Cloud Vine has the least number of vines therefore it is easy for his vine to reach Immortal Stage. When he initially got the vine from Misty Island it was at the Planetary Level, In the Novel it was mentioned that Hong got resources to take it to the Universe Level, it wasn't mentioned later on.
Luo Feng's Cloud Vine[]
One of Cloud Vines (Cloud Vine Shoot/摩云藤幼体) was left by Hu Yan Bo to Luo Feng as his heir.
