Overview[]
In Swallowed Star, techniques (also known as methods, skills, or ways) fall under levels. While techniques below the level of a World Master are rarely defined, those at the level of Immortal tend to be defined, with the lowest level being Low and the highest level seen being God King. While a technique may be of a certain level, there are other factors that can contribute to the effectiveness of the technique, including the underlying strength of the user, the strength of the medium used (generally a weapon, but also can be the body, etc.), law comprehension, etc. As such, in the story, a Universe Master-level technique may not easily kill a Universe Venerable, for example.
Secret Techniques (秘术) are different from Secret Methods (秘法) in that Secret Techniques are useful to more powerful beings than Secret Methods[1]. Secret Methods are generally techniques at the Universe Venerable-level and thus are worthless to Universe Masters, while Secret Techniques are typically created by beings who have surpassed True Gods, making their techniques incredibly useful.
Level of Techniques[]
Low[]
Low level (不入流绝学) techniques are generally created by normal World Masters and normal Immortals.[2]
Normal[]
Normal (普通绝学) techniques are generally created by World Master geniuses and Immortal Marquises. They generally have some special features that make them surpass Low level techniques.[2]

Top (顶级绝学) techniques are generally created by World Master absolute geniuses and Immortal Kings.[2]
Pinnacle[]
Pinnacle (巅峰绝学) techniques are generally created by Immortal Kings with real chances to become Universe Venerables, as well as Universe Venerables.[2] Extreme World Master geniuses can also create techniques of this level.

Ultimate (究极绝学) techniques are generally created by Universe Overlords and Universe Masters. Only the greatest World Master geniuses can create techniques of this level.

Universe Venerable Pinnacle (宇宙尊者巅峰绝学) techniques are generally created by talented Immortal Kings and Universe Venerables.
Universe Venerable Ultimate[]
Universe Venerable Ultimate (宇宙尊者级究极绝学/宇宙尊者究极绝学) techniques are generally created by very talented Universe Venerables, Universe Overlords, and can be casually created by Universe Masters.
Universe Overlord Ultimate[]
Universe Overlord Ultimate (宇宙霸主究极秘法) techniques are generally created by very talented Universe Overlords and Universe Masters.

Universe Master Pinnacle[]
Universe Master Pinnacle (宇宙之主巅峰绝学 /宇宙之主巅峰级秘法/宇宙之主巅峰秘法) techniques are generally created by very talented Universe Overlords and Level 1 Universe Masters.

Universe Master Ultimate (宇宙之主究极秘法) techniques are generally created by Universe Masters of Level 2 and higher. Supremely talented Immortals can create techniques at this level.

Universe Master Strongest Fusion (宇宙之主融合最强秘法) techniques are generally created by Universe Masters of Level 5 and higher, but can also be created by talented Universe Masters of lower levels. Supremely talented Universe Venerables can also create techniques of this level.

True God or Universe Supreme Master techniques are generally created by True Gods, but can also be created by the most supremely talented Universe Venerables and extremely talented Universe Masters. A technique is considered a True God-level technique when it reaches the top of Level 6; True Gods can easily create Level 7 and Level 8 techniques, elite True Gods can create Level 9 techniques, and only the strongest True Gods can create Level 10 or higher techniques.

Level of Techniques on Earth[]
1.Basic Level (基础级)[]
Usually technique training requires a very solid understanding in the basics, which usually takes ten years of bitter work. And fighting with monsters for years drills the ways to dodge into your consciousness. Once you train enough, your reflexes will come in play no matter what the situation.

These three levels are the basics of technique. Above these three is the Micro level!
2.Micro Level (入微级)[]
The Ru Wei class means that you have virtually complete control over your strength and body and are able to use the smallest amount of energy and movement to dodge the attack. All kinds of dodging, just like it has been calculated by a computer! The reason why the micro level technique is so hard is because when you are just barely dodging, any kind of mistake will lead to the attack from the monster striking you! Once you are hit by a monster, most people get heavily injured, if not killed.
When training in the micro class technique, it isn’t really that effective to train with monsters who are weaker than you.
It has level for the technique split into Basic, Expert, Perfect and Conception levels
The expert level uses the smallest amounts of movements to dodge an attack and therefore using the movements as efficiently as possible.
3.Perfection Level (完美级)[]
The perfect level requires one to be able to take the environment and become one with the environment. It allows one uses anything, like rocks, structures, etc. in the surrounding area to accurately dodge. The Vigorous Bear "Li Kan" is at this level.
4.Artistic Conception (意境级)[]
The Shadow Blade "Wang Tong" has reached a level even higher, the "Conception" level, which is the highest level of the Ru Wei body technique. It is the advanced version of the Perfection Level.
Blade Technique[]
The state of a blade is split into the categories Basic–Expert–Perfect–Conception, these four levels.
