Cao Benqi, or commonly Flame Emperor, is the second disciple of Sitting Mountain Guest[3] and a member of the Nine Territory Alliance.[4] Since he began cultivating, Flame Emperor never failed and nobody at his level could rival him, making him a fearless being and he respected nobody. This ambitious paranoia forced his powerful race, the Flame God Race, to betray the Human Race long before his junior brother Luo Feng arrived.[5]
Appearance[]
A towering being, almost 10,000 kilometers tall. The air exhaled from his nose burned the space around him, his black horn seemed to pierce the sky, and he was densely covered in black scales. He was the very picture of the Flame God Race. He carried an overbearing arrogance and ignored the presence of all others. His power and arrogance naturally emanated from him, in his bones and in his soul.
Personality[]
Flame Emperor is paranoid[6] bias to the bad and dismissal of the good, alongside pettiness and viciousness, being reluctant to give his junior brother Luo Feng the Force Armor and blaming his master for making him lose a treasure.[7] He is viewed by Primal Chaos City Leader as too ambitious and selfish.[5] He could never accept being subservient to anyone else, and with his selfish nature and unwillingness to forgive others, he betrayed the Human Race and even dragged the Flame God Race to betray with him.[8] He held blind ambition to one day overthrow his master, Sitting Mountain Guest, and be as domineering as the Human Race's top powerhouse, Ancestor Yuan.[9] He looked down upon his senior brother, as he was originally a slave of his teacher, and he had inferior potential and true treasures compared to him.
His pride also made him disdain owning any treasure less than the Top Arcana.[10]
Biography[]
Flame Emperor was the product of the cultivation efforts of Sitting Mountain Guest, first with the creation of the Flame God Race, followed by his focused training on the most talented member towards the Divine Body. Like his third brother disciple representing the most talented of the Earthlings, Flame Emperor became the sole representative of his race in his master's heart: success means entering the Continent of Origin, failure means abandonment alongside his race by their creator.
Because of his personality, Universe Venerable Flame Emperor even attacked Human Race Universe Masters! He attacked them for their valuables, and was sentenced to imprisonment by Huge Axe Creator.[8] However, because Flame Emperor's constant exhibitions of cultivation did not have the future potential to develop the Infinite Divine Body, his master finalized the abandonment of the Flame God Race, the Infinite Divine Body and his second-disciple.[6]
During his betrayal, he was able to escape with the Flame God race to a remote territory far from the human territory. Over the eons, he made sure the Flame God race would enter the outer region wars, joining other groups to fight against humans. He was also publicly assisted by Sitting Mountain Guest throughout his time in the universe.
He is a high-ranking member of the Nine Territory Alliance.[4]
He was reluctant to give the Force Armor to Luo Feng as instructed, and attempted to passively disobey Sitting Mountain Guest's orders. Luo Feng saw through that and essentially forced him to choose between actively disobeying his teacher or giving up the armor.[8]
He is one of the great beings who shows up to seal Yuan Ao Master.[7] He tries to convince the Nine Territory Alliance to join the United Forces Alliance for the Duan Dong River inheritance, but it seems he was unsuccessful.[11]
The birth of the Fourth Reincarnation Era leads to Flame Emperor's demise and his race.[6]
Strength[]
He can be considered a pinnacle Universe Master, with a cultivation level of Universe Master Level 3 and by his realm have mastered Law of Space and Law of Time .[12] However, his spiritual and mental cultivation necessary for True God and higher were average and less competent than a talent like Hong of the Earthlings, therefore, he could not achieve the Third Level Divine Body: Infinite Divine Body. As a result, he was abandoned by his master alongside his race.[6]
With his Flame God Halberd (attack-type Pinnacle Arcana) and Original Soul (soul-type Pinnacle Arcana), he has incredible physical strength and soul defense, along with augmented soul strength. With the combination of his almost 10,000 kilometer tall Divine Body and his Life Gene Level of almost 10,000[13], he is incredibly durable. When he wore the Force Armor (armor-type defensive Pinnacle Arcana), he was even more intrepid, despite not being able to use it to its full capacity. Eventually, he grudgingly returned the Force Armor to its true owner. He since used an unnamed armor-type defensive Top Arcana as a backup.
