A malevolent-looking skinny man of the Qi Chang race, 1.6 meters tall and covered in scales, as characteristic of his race.
Biography[]
King Purple Clock was a Pinnacle Immortal King who, along with King Cang Jin, was invited by Ice Blade to loot the Sacrificial Tower. He presumably got his name from his ancient purple clock Heavy Treasure, Purple Clock (real name Devil Note Fire God Clock). As a fellow member of the Qi Chang race, he and Ice Blade had explored the universe together and trusted one another, even though he didn't think too highly of Ice Blade.[2]
Sacrificial Tower[]
When Ice Blade and King Ye Chen agreed to each pick two partners to bring with them in order to use the associated talismans to enter the Sacrificial Tower, King Purple Clock was one of the two chosen by Ice Blade, along with King Cang Jin. When they began the process of entering the tower, he was concerned with the possibility of a special attack being launched at them, prompting Ye Chen's side to mock him.
After entering the tower, he and Ice Blade went down a separate pathway from Cang Jin and were followed by King Piercing Tiger and Luo Feng, resulting in a chase. Unable to catch up to or stop Luo Feng, he arrived in the first treasure room after Luo Feng looted the treasure. To prevent Luo Feng from escaping, he called upon his Blood Devil Flower plant companion, which clashed with Luo Feng's Cloud Vine.[3] Eventually, Piercing Tiger arrived to relieve Luo Feng, but Purple Clock held him off while Ice Blade and the Blood Devil Flower prevented Luo Feng from escaping before Cang Jin arrived.
Cang Jin, upon arrival, immediately attacked Piercing Tiger, sending him crashing into a distant wall, then used his body amplification technique and attacked Luo Feng. Thanks to the Shi Wu Wings, Luo Feng was unharmed, and Ye Chen rushed over to fight Cang Jin while Purple Clock fought with Piercing Tiger. Understanding that Luo Feng was the smallest threat to him, Cang Jin ordered Purple Clock to obtain the treasure from Luo Feng, even if it meant burning his Divine Body.[3]
Using his control of Law of Space , Purple Clock launched an attack using his Spirit Weapon, Fire Clocks. Utilizing Strikeout Through the Universe, Luo Feng avoided the attack, forcing Purple Clock to burn 3% of his Divine Body. The amplified attack was too fast for Luo Feng to avoid, but he was again unharmed due to the defense of the Shi Wu Wings. Unable to harm Luo Feng even after burning his Divine Body, Purple Clock communicated to Cang Jin, who burned his Divine Body and began to attack in earnest.
Using the power of his burning Limit Immortal King Divine Body, Cang Jin attacked Ye Chen so quickly that he could not dodge, reducing him to ashes.[4] With only 50% of his Divine Body remaining, Ye Chen chose to self-destruct, since he could no longer escape.[2] The self-destruction of 50% of a Pinnacle Immortal King killed Ice Blade, destroyed 6% of Piercing Tiger's Divine Body, but curiously, Purple Clock was unharmed. Purple Clock, enraged at the current predicament, yelled at Cang Jin, told him to shut up and not to let Piercing Tiger and Luo Feng escape. Purple Clock, along with Cang Jin, then chased Luo Feng, who had left down one of the pathways.
Encountering a Survivor[]
As King Cang Jin chased Luo Feng, slowing him at points but unable to capture him, Purple Clock mused that Cang Jin used King Ye Chen to kill Ice Blade, since as allies from the Automaton Race camp, he could not do it directly.[5] Thinking that Cang Jin wanted all of the treasure for himself, he noted mentally that even if King Piercing Tiger self-destructed, he would not die.
When Luo Feng was close to the exit of the core area, the Yan Ji Race aboriginal Qiu Chi Ka blocked the 6 pathways, preventing his escape and allowing Piercing Tiger, Cang Jin, and Purple Clock to catch up.[5] Qiu Chi Ka informed the group that he had been observing them from the beginning, hoping they would kill each other, but was forced to show himself when Luo Feng was about to escape. After Qiu Chi Ka informed them that only one of his race could open the chests present, and that the chests were empty, Purple Clock and Cang Jin told Luo Feng to hand him one of the chests to prove it. Qiu Chi Ka then proposed that they work together to get to the true treasure of the tower.
After talking it over with Cang Jin, Purple Clock agreed to trust Qiu Chi Ka, while angrily noting internally that Cang Jin decided upon himself to take Ice Blade's share, resulting in him getting 80% and Purple Clock only 20%.[6] Purple Clock, along with Cang Jin, Piercing Tiger, and Luo Feng, then surrounded Qiu Chi Ka as they flew to the Heritage Tower Treasure Room. Upon arrival, Qiu Chi Ka informed the group that he would need a talisman to open the door, prompting Cang Jin to order Purple Clock to attempt to open the door with his talisman. When Purple Clock was unsuccessful, Cang Jin tossed him one talisman, then another, which Qiu Chi Ka used to open the door.
After entering the treasure room, Cang Jin attacked Qiu Chi Ka, but was still unable to open the treasure within. Qiu Chi Ka then locked the door to the room, trapping the group within and advising them that their only way out was through God Country Transmission.[7] As the group thought of how to deal with the situation, Qiu Chi Ka self-destructed.[8] As a Pinnacle Immortal King, his self-destruction destroyed over 50% of Piercing Tiger's Divine Body, but once again, Purple Clock was unharmed...
Escaping the Sacrificial Tower[]
With Qiu Chi Ka's self-destruction, Purple Clock's terrifying defensive capabilities were fully exposed. King Cang Jin dryly noted that outside of burning his Divine Body to attack Luo Feng, Purple Clock had been unharmed from the incredible self-destructions of two Pinnacle Immortal Kings![9] Purple Clock then mocked Cang Jin, noting that he had no reason to reveal his trump cards for survival. He then told Cang Jin to attempt opening the chest in the room, but Cang Jin was unsuccessful in doing so. After the rest of the group failed to open the chest, Cang Jin ordered the others to use God Country Transmission to leave first, which caused Purple Clock to rebut that the strongest of them, Cang Jin, should leave first, as that was safest for all involved, getting King Piercing Tiger and Luo Feng's affirmation.[9]
Faced with rebellion from the rest of the group, Cang Jin roared that those who disobeyed would die, then Purple Clock advised that he activated his Automaton Race Virtual World broadcast, sharing the occurrences with the Automaton Race camp. He thought that by doing so, Cang Jin would not attack an ally, but Cang Jin had already warped the light and sound to prevent recording. Cang Jin then mused that Purple Clock had some treasures on him, causing Purple Clock to note that Luo Feng also had treasures. After Cang Jin told the group that he would kill them one by one and obtain their wealth, Purple Clock, enraged, revealed his infamous trump card: an A812 Fire God Origin Crystal, akin to 3 times the power of a Pinnacle Immortal King's self-destruction![9]
After threatening Cang Jin, noting that within the small Heritage Tower Treasure Room, the crystal would definitely destroy 5-10% of Cang Jin's Divine Body, Purple Clock joined forces with Piercing Tiger and Luo Feng to battle Cang Jin, telling the others to hold nothing back.[10] After Piercing Tiger self-destructed, Purple Clock told Luo Feng to go all out, not knowing that as a World Master, Luo Feng had no Divine Body to burn. When Cang Jin launched his attack, Purple Clock finally acted, activating his Heavy Treasure Purple Clock and placing the Fire God Origin Crystal within. Using the clock to channel the explosion, amplifying the attack by 10 times, he focused the attack on Cang Jin, hoping to kill him and obtain his wealth.[10]
Using his Heavy Treasure to defend himself, Purple Clock's attack went out with full force, forcing Cang Jin to self-destruct in response. The power of a Limit Immortal King self-destructing had to be seen to be believed, forcing Purple Clock to use all of his strength and his Heavy Treasure to redirect the force downwards to lessen the damage he received. The explosion created a 6,000 kilometer deep cave before dispersing, destroying everything but the most valuable treasures. Despite having to burn his Divine Body to control the explosion, the combination of his consumption and the explosion's damage only resulted in Purple Clock losing 26% of his Divine Body, which meant he was still strong enough to collect all of the treasures in the area.[11]
Thinking that everyone else had died, Purple Clock began collecting the treasures in the area, but was unable to locate the Yan Ji Race treasure chest that was in the room. Attempting to locate it, as well as Luo Feng's treasures, he gathered everything in his Space Ring, but was surprised when an apparent metal fragment was unable to enter it. He stared wide-eyed as the fragment landed in the hand of Luo Feng![12] After the two exchanged barbs, Purple Clock attacked Luo Feng, forcing him to use Strikeout Through the Universe to escape. Hoping to kill him and prevent him from exposing his Heavy Treasure, Purple Clock chased after Luo Feng, but encountered his Golden Horned Beast Body, wearing the King Armor. Realizing that Luo Feng may have called the legendary Silver Winged King to help him, and thus may have called others, Purple Clock teleported away. In an icy location, Purple Clock resolved to kill Luo Feng to take the treasure he thought he had earned, the treasure of the Sacrificial Tower, and prevent Luo Feng from spreading the news about the Purple Clock Heavy Treasure.[13]
Rumors and Bounties[]
While Luo Feng was selling the treasures he obtained from the battle, Purple Clock spread the rumor that Luo Feng acquired treasure from the Sacrificial Tower, hoping to root him out and make others hunt him down. From Purple Clock's perspective, if Luo Feng was too weak, he'd spread news of the Heavy Treasure Purple Clock, so he should force him out early and kill him. On the other hand, if Luo Feng felt he was strong enough to kill him and obtain his Heavy Treasure, he would still spread news of it, so Purple Clock should try to kill him even sooner! As a result, he made the first move. After hearing the news from King Mo Na[14], Luo Feng began to make his plans.
Purple Clock, while trying to locate Luo Feng, was quite scared of him due to his incredible speed and defense. Furthermore, he was able to conceal himself while Purple Clock was collecting the treasures post-explosion, so he probably had terrifying techniques. Taking this into consideration, he began making his preparations.[15] After hearing that Luo Feng was hiding in the 26th camp, Purple Clock, unlike others on the 7th Battlefield, understood that Luo Feng was feigning weakness.[16] One year later, after Luo Feng finished his preparations, he asked his Immortal King friends to search for Purple Clock, but it was his turn to wait for him to reveal himself.
After waiting for some time, he placed a bounty on Purple Clock, 50 million Mixed Yuan Units to anyone who could provide his location![17] Purple Clock, who had completed his preparations, paying King Heavy Arrow and King Blood Beast, two Limit Immortal Kings, to assist him in dealing with Luo Feng, was relaxed in the Automaton Race Virtual World. He paid them 5 billion Indigo Gems upfront and agreed to give each of them 1/3 of Luo Feng's wealth after they killed him. Following his plan, he pretended to be afraid, hiding outside of the Yan Ji Continent until he would purposely allow the Human Race camp to discover him. At that point, he planned to inform his two allies to immediately teleport to his location.[17]
Final Battle and Aftermath[]
Per his plan, Purple Clock revealed his location, prompting an Immortal Marquis to share his location with Luo Feng.[18] Through the assistance of King Cha Wu, Luo Feng teleported to Purple Clock's relative location and had Irina launch two attacks. After sensing Luo Feng's arrival, he wondered why hadn't moved, but then the incredible attacks from the Zerg Race mother nest, consisting of almost two million king World Masters, shocked Purple Clock into teleporting away.[19] Seeing Luo Feng in the resulting crater, he continued to remain cautious, immediately calling King Heavy Arrow and King Blood Beast to teleport to the rough location, deciding against exchanging blows with Luo Feng alone.
The two exchanged mocking trash talk, then Heavy Arrow and Blood Beast arrived, activating their body amplification techniques and attacking Luo Feng. Luo Feng used Strikeout Through the Universe to rush at Purple Clock, then used the Space Lock Band to perform Lockdown on the surrounding 10,000 kilometers, preventing anyone from using Teleportation.[19] Realizing this was not from Law of Space comprehension, but rather from a Yan Ji Race treasure, Purple Clock informed Heavy Arrow and Blood Beast, exciting the two Limit Immortal Kings.[20] The three then formed a combined attack, at which point Luo Feng revealed two Fire God Origin Crystals, each akin to 10 times a Pinnacle Immortal King's self-destruction, capable of possibly killing a Limit Immortal King! When the three had begun to flee, Luo Feng detonated the crystals, creating an incredible explosion and forcing everyone to use their best survivability techniques. Purple Clock lost over 50% of his Divine Body, thinking that Luo Feng would also be unable to attack him, and thus was shocked when Luo Feng attacked with his new Poison Shadow Blade![20]
With the Poison Shadow Blade applying .72 drops of deadly Fei Mo Poison to his reforming Divine Body, Purple Clock knew he would die, so before dying he sent a mass message in the Automaton Race Virtual World, sharing Luo Feng's location in hopes that others would avenge him.[21] In his final moments he laughed, then howled that he would not let Luo Feng off easy.
Due to the fact that while a part of the Automaton Race camp, he was not a member of the race, and he was only a Pinnacle Immortal King, not even a Limit Immortal King, it was unlikely that he would be resurrected. Even if he was chosen for resurrection, his ownership of the Purple Clock made resurrecting him akin to resurrecting a Universe Venerable, which would probably prevent the race from resurrecting him. His death and his mass message resulted in a larger battle in which Luo Feng killed 13 Immortal Kings, after which he gained the king name Blade River King.[22]
Luo Feng acquired about 120 billion Mixed Yuan Units of treasure from killing King Purple Clock, not including the Heavy Treasure, Devil Note Fire God Clock![23]
Strength[]
King Purple Clock was a deceptively powerful warrior, an absolute being of his race. While his body and law comprehension made him a Pinnacle Immortal King capable of using Teleportation, his ownership and use of the Heavy Treasure Devil Note Fire God Clock allowed him to kill two Limit Immortal Kings![24] That armor also allowed him to survive the self-destruction of a Limit Immortal King, so he could use the threat of Fire God Origin Crystals to get out of nasty predicaments. He was able to avoid revealing his true power by killing those who had observed it, but even his revealed power showed he had some ability, owning a Pinnacle Immortal Marquis Blood Devil Flower, uncommon even among Immortal Kings.
