The Life Core is the consolidation of a Domain Master's sea of Consciousness, containing their soul. One's Life Core can be stored in any part of their body[3].
Due to the Life Core containing their soul, Domain Masters can survive injuries that would result in certain death for lower level cultivators, such as decapitation, as long as their Life Core was not contained in their head. This is also why Domain Masters cannot be enslaved with Microchips[4].
Life Cores differ in strength between different lifeforms; for example, the Life Core of a Golden Horned Beast is much more powerful than that of a Human, since the Golden Horned Beast's Life Core also has to support its Internal World[3].
