Nine Calamities Secret Tome

Five pure black metal boards, with engravings on the surface. Each appears to have been broken off from a larger piece. The first volume's inscribed Flame God Race language feels quite like some ancient characters in ancient Chinese, but contrary, the manual existed 600 million years ago before Luo Feng acquired it. The five boards contain the nine volumes:

Description[]

The Nine Volume Manual (Nine Calamities Secret Tome) is a set of cultivation guides/training manual created by Zuo Shan Ke with the purpose of increasing the Life Gene Level of the cultivator. It will also increase the power of their soul and bring out an absolute change in one's talent in the area of cultivation.

The manual allows its practitioner to break the Life Gene Level limit set by the universe law, which caused it to be rejected by the universe laws themselves.^[3] When Zuo Shan Ke passed the manual's knowledge onto any Earthling, the universe laws would erase the memory of that user. Zuo Shan Ke was unaffected by the memory loss due to his strength, but it made it impossible to pass the guides down as they existed at the time.

To circumvent this, he used some special treasures he discovered, the Heavenly Soul Crystals, to house the Nine Volume Manual.^[3] With their natural power, as long as a human from Earth was able to pass the illusions within the crystals, they could acquire the techniques. Zuo Shan Ke understood that the universe laws are fair, and there was always a chance, if one could find it. Even with the strength of the Nine Volume Manual, there would be a way to pass the techniques on to someone else.

Despite this circumvention, the techniques can still only be passed onto one individual at a time; as long as the cultivator who began training in the Nine Volume Manual was alive, no one else could attempt to learn those techniques. Additionally, if the cultivator died, even upon resurrection they would never remember the techniques of the manual.^[4]

Training[]

Nine Volume must be learned from Volume 1, the sole initiation entree, as dictated by the Origin Will of the Original Universe and cannot be taught directly by Zuo Shan Ke. Only one inheritor can learn the Nine Volume Manual and the current inheritor must search out for the other volumes after begin learning Volume 1. Success in every volume would result in genetic evolution whereas a failure would result in the life core being crumbled, and the person dying. Luo Feng failed many times during training in Nine Volume Manual and every time he was turned to ash, but the reason he survived was that his Golden Horned Beast Life Core was in his Mosha Body and Mosha body was outside his other bodies.

Life Gene[]

Luo Feng's 3 bodies (Earthling, Golden Horned Beast, and Nine Remoteness) Life Gene became perfect after training in this volume and using Blood River Crystals. His Earthling body took all 5 boards, 82 Blood River Crystals, and 18 Drops of Beast God Blood to reach 10,081 Life Gene, whereas the others took less. Each volume after the 1st doubles its user's Life Gene Level; Volume 1 triples it.
