Description

Secret Regions, also called Universe Secret Regions (宇宙秘境(yǔzhòu mìjìng)), are areas of the Original Universe formed at the beginning of the formation of the Original Universe. While most of the Original Universe forms normal Star Sectors, Starfields, Galaxies, Planets, and other celestial bodies, under special circumstances, special areas are created that do not follow the rules of the rest of the universe. These regions are typically very dangerous; even the safest secret regions are only safe to World Masters, while the most dangerous ones are dangerous even to Universe Masters!

Since the universe is fair, these dangerous regions also tend to have valuable treasures. The value of the treasures increases with the danger of the regions, causing even the most dangerous of these regions to be frequented by those willing to risk their lives for valuables. These treasures are often the cause for incredible fights, as those confident in their survival clash for those items. Since these regions tend to have existed since the beginning of the universe, some incredibly dangerous secret regions are actually relatively bare of treasures, due to various powerful beings exploring and taking away the treasures.

Details of Secret Regions

Secret Regions can vary dramatically in size; the smallest are around the size of a galaxy, while the largest are comparable to a Universe Country! Due to the unique circumstances of their creation, natural secret regions have incredibly thick amounts of Universe Origin Energy, making them very suitable for training. That Universe Origin Energy can be easily condensed into Universe Crystals. As any form of life could absorb Universe Origin Energy while growing, that energy strengthened any lifeforms that lived within the secret regions, creating powerful lifeforms.

Despite having great amounts of Universe Origin Energy, the amount of Universe Energy is finite. Due to the higher population density in secret regions compared to the larger territories that contained the Pinnacle Races, their potential is lower than those lifeforms who live in larger territories. For example, Humans who live in secret regions rank second in population, but the chances of them becoming Universe Venerables are very low, while those humans who live in ordinary regions in human territory rank last in population but produce 98.2% of the race's Universe Venerables! However, these special regions also sometimes birthed Special Lifeforms, which could somewhat offset the limits in cultivation with increases in Life Gene Level. Special Lifeforms also tended to stay within secret regions until they broke through to Immortal. The Ancestral God Secret Region, for example, boasted the most Special Lifeforms of any region of the universe, and at least one of those lifeforms (Nine Remoteness Master) was a top-tier Universe Master, while other lifeforms (Venerable Ancestral Tree and Cold Whale True God) were Top Universe Overlords who could rival Universe Masters!

Secret Regions do not follow the rules of the rest of the universe, having followed a different path during the evolution of the universe. For example, while most celestial bodies are spherical, celestial bodies in secret regions took on all shapes and forms. Some were enormous continents, some were gigantic lakes, some were even floating mountain ranges with waterfalls. Special natural occurrences in secret regions could even be used as weapons, like the Silent Wind Weapon, or mists for Chemists. While most of the universe allows Teleportation, certain parts of some secret regions explicitly blocked teleportation, making them incredibly dangerous! The nature of secret regions allowed for incredibly large bodies to exist within them; the Yin Fa Secret Region, for example, housed the Craftsman God Planet, a planet 3.2 trillion kilometers in diameter! The special fire flows, ice flows, winds, cosmic dust, etc. make the resistance within secret regions incredibly high, preventing Universe Travel! Even Immortals would find it almost impossible to accelerate to light-speed; this was part of why the Blood River World, for example, remained an aboriginal world with limited contact with the rest of the universe.

Those who navigate secret regions typically use Scanning Devices. The large scanners are used to rush through the secret regions; they can identify some celestial bodies from a far distance, allowing their users to avoid them and the dangers within. The small scanners are used for precise exploring within dangerous places in secret regions, when one was searching for treasures, etc.

Unnatural Secret Regions

While most Secret Regions are naturally formed environments, there are some areas that were controlled by powerful beings shortly after their formation. These beings would leave behind palaces, training grounds, areas for meditation, etc., but may have been forced away by stronger forces, such as the 5 Leviathans of Humanity or other alliances between the Pinnacle Races.

Some Secret Regions are specifically used for certain purposes. The Virtual Universe Company, for example, has 4 different secret regions that they have excavated and remodeled, dramatically lowering the danger, that they use to cultivate young geniuses of the Human Race. The other 4 leviathans have similar secret regions. The 7th Battlefield was forged by the Human Race, Demon Race, Automaton Race, and Zerg Race explicitly for the purpose of battle. The races swept through the region, either massacring the indigenous residents, or forcing them to leave. This was in part because secret regions are some of the few places suitable for battles between Immortals, allowing them to use their full power.
