Etymology[]
This is a section added primarily due to the difference between the English-fan translation of the Novel and the true Chinese meaning.
The characters used here are extremely similar to Domain Master.
Original Chinese characters: 界主级 (jiè zhǔ jí)
- 界 (jiè) refers to a world or boundary. The English Novel used Sector as its translation. While sector could be seen as a synonym for boundary, it is a more common synonym for territory which would be the translation of Domain Master. A Sector and a Territory/Domain are too close in terms of meaning whereas the other translation, World, does not cause this confusion. Furthermore in this stage a cultivator transforms their life core into a miniature world. As such the term World is more fitting, to a) avoid confusion and b) represent the realm itself.
- 主级 (zhǔ jí) refers to the master grade or master level.
- 级 (jí) refers to grade, level or rank.
As such combining these results in a Person of World Master Level. --> A World Master.
It may be inconvenient to Novel readers who are used to "Sector Lord" however we want to focus on the correct terms. To take novel readers into account we still left a redirect from Sector Lord, should one search for that term.
Description[]
World Master is the final stage of cultivation for a non-Immortal cultivator. If developed normally, without the assistance of powerful inheritances, around 1,000 galaxies will eventually give birth to one World Master[1]! At this level, the body's genetics are evolved to their limits[2]; without having a breakthrough in Life Gene Level, a cultivator's body will reach its size limit when they reach the pinnacle of World Master.[3] Their soul also condenses into a crystal, becoming as strong as it can be before combining with the body when the cultivator breaks through to Immortal.[4]
Jiang Tian Chen - World Master Pinnacle
When a Domain Master breaks through to World Master, their life core undergoes a fundamental change, with their spirit and genetic energies fusing with their Consciousness and Willpower, resulting in the formation of World Energy. This World Energy allows the cultivator's consciousness to connect to the Original Universe Origin, the true source of energy[5]. That endless space was an endless space of world energy! Any grain of sand had countless universe crystals.
Internal World[]
Using this energy, World Masters create their Internal World; a normal World Masters' Internal World has a diameter of over 10,000 kilometers, however Luo Feng's had one of over 10 million kilometers upon his breakthrough.[5] This world is a true world, able to house life and store items, and can be evolved and changed through the use of Universe Crystals. World Masters can create more than one world, and can even create a world within their world! While it is not cheap to create an Internal World, it is not overly expensive either, so World Masters tend to not buy World Rings, instead choosing to use their internal world. These worlds could be shrunk to the size of a grain of rice, and could be kept even after breaking through to Immortal![6]
Wealth and Prestige[]
Their wealth is substantial, they generally use E Grade spaceships worth about 1 Mixed Yuan Unit[7], and have about 10 Mixed Yuan Units of wealth, able to become 3 star clients of either the Universe Star River Bank or the Universe First Bank.[8] They can easily receive an entire Galaxy as their territory when they join an empire[9], and, through some work, could receive more galaxies[10]. In ordinary Starfields and medium-level civilized nations, a World Master can be considered the pinnacle of strength and power[11]. They can lead powerful organizations and their families are of higher importance than any non-imperial family; a World Master prince could immediately take the throne of a medium-level civilized nation[12]! A typical medium-level civilized nation has too few World Masters for them to meet within the Virtual Universe, but they can meet others by moving to a high-level civilized nation's virtual continent. If necessary, a World Master could easily gather tens of thousands of Stellar Level cultivators for a mission[13].
Training and Law Comprehension[]
Using their ability to connect to the Original Universe Origin, the source of all energy, World Masters can resonate with the Original Laws, the source of which is also kept in the Original Universe Origin. With their ability, they can create imitations of Level 3 Spirit Weapons.[14] Laws that the cultivator could not comprehend at Domain Master suddenly become as clear as the laws they could already comprehend, and the laws they could already comprehend, they comprehended even more deeply! Due to this increase in comprehension, World Master is considered the most critical training period, and the teacher of a talented World Master would make sure to give them a gift to aid in their training.[15] Their comprehension of original laws is much greater than that of a Domain Master; one day of comprehending original laws as a World Master is the equivalent of doing the same for a year as a Domain Master.[16] This is why World Masters tend to stay at this level, training to reach the level of law recognition in multiple laws (which increases their comprehension speed for those laws), building a stronger foundation and allowing them to immediately reach Immortal Marquis or Immortal King level when they broke through to Immortal.
Hargrave - World Master Pinnacle
At World Master level, some absolute geniuses only train for tens of thousands of years and their comprehension can compare to that of an Immortal King. However, for a normal Immortal that constantly breaks through, even a hundred million years wouldn’t be enough for him to reach the level of an Immortal King. This is due to the nature of an Immortal; upon breaking through, their World Energy is converted to Immortal Energy, and thus they can no longer resonate with the source of the Original Laws. While they completely comprehend the law(s) they used to break through to Immortal, increasing their comprehension of other laws is incredibly difficult, unless the law they used to break through was that of space or time (but that likely would not be a normal Immortal).
Technique Creation[]
When training at this level, World Masters are expected to begin to create techniques that suit their abilities.[17] Ordinary World Masters normally create Low Techniques, while genius World Masters can create Normal Techniques. Absolute genius World Masters create Top Techniques, while those few World Masters capable of killing Immortal Marquises create Pinnacle Techniques.[18] Only the greatest World Master geniuses can create Ultimate Techniques.[19]
Strength[]
When fighting, a World Master can project their Internal World into the outer world; this is known as World Projection. Particularly strong World Masters may be able to counter the law domain of an ordinary Immortal with their world projection.[20] This is incredible when you consider that when World Masters break through to Immortal, their strength is immediately increased at least hundredfold![21] If their body is strong enough (or they have proper equipment), they can reach lightspeed; the unnamed World Master from Three Axe Mountain was casually able to reach 1/10th lightspeed![22] Despite their strength, due to the fundamental difference in the spirit energy of a World Master and of an Immortal, normal Pinnacle World Masters cannot withstand Soul Attacks from an Immortal, requiring special equipment to defend themselves from the Immortal Energy.[21]
Normal Pinnacle World Masters have no chance of defeating Immortals due to their inability to withstand their soul attacks and inability to destroy Immortal Energy. However, truly powerful Pinnacle World Masters with Immortal Marquis or Immortal King-level law comprehension, treasures that can defend against Immortal soul attacks, treasures that can allow them to maximize their law comprehension, and either high Life Gene Level or another way to strengthen their body can indeed kill Immortals. Human World Masters very rarely get this strong as their bodies tend to have lower Life Gene Levels and lack truly special inherited techniques, but examples exist, such as Kedi and Luo Feng.

Corpses[]
Human World Master Pinnacle corpses will only begin to rot after 10,000 years. After another few tens of thousands of years, they would rot to the bones, then after 100,000 years, it would fully decay. Zerg Race World Master Pinnacle corpses can last in frozen storage for 100,000 years without rotting at all![26]
