Zhang Haobai is Luo Feng's first known (small) enemy on Earth when the latter is in high school.
Background[]
Zhang Haobai is the son of decently rich, but corrupted, Zhang Zelong and the nephew of Tiger Fang Squad member Zhang Zehu. He was a senior student at the Extreme Martial Club. He liked Xu Xin and would always try to show off using his wealth and status to her without knowing that Xu Xin was the young lady of the Xu Family, a member of the HR Alliance.
During his time as a student at Yi'an No.3 High School, he forms a one-side rivalry with Luo Feng. He is the son of a rich and powerful family, precisely, the most powerful family in Jiangnan City. Therefore, he has an arrogant, cold and merciless character. He envies Luo Feng for being better than him in studies and martial arts. He contends Xu Xin in a love rivalry with Luo Feng, but knows Xu Xin's love for Luo Feng. As a result, he uses his familial influence to create problems to ruin Luo Feng's future.
History[]
Zhang Haobai was imprisoned for attempting to attack Luo Feng. He brided the prisoners to attack and break one of Luo Feng's arms and legs when he was in the Yi'an detention center. This was his retaliation for (his perspective) Luo Feng earlier publicly attacking Zhang Haobai and his guards, but (reality) Luo Feng was just protecting his father and his father's coworkers from Zhang Haobai's group's assault.
His current fate is unknown after he was taken away by the Jiangnan City Security Bureau. His narrowminded actions caused the fall of his Zhang family in Jiangnan City.
Learning of Luo Feng's later advanced cultivation, he regrets his actions and hopes Luo Feng will not take revenge. When seeing Luo Feng's published obituary, he is extremely happy. He was still in prison though at that time.
It is probable, but not yet absolute, that Zhang Haobai choose suicide upon knowing that Luo Feng become the champion of Earth and can easily kill anyone on the planet.
Trivia[]
- Zhang Haobai is a mere filler in the plot hole and does not posses any significance toward the storyline whatsoever. His only worth was to be a source of small troubles that motivated Luo Feng to work harder during his Student Level and Apprentice Level 1 cultivation periods.
